Insightful Corporation Names Robert Fitzgerald as Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations

SEATTLE - February 4, 2008 -

Insightful Corporation (NASDAQ: IFUL), a leading provider of predictive analytics and reporting solutions, announced today the appointment of Robert Fitzgerald as vice president of Worldwide Field Operations. Mr. Fitzgerald will be responsible for global sales and professional services and will be a member of Insightful’s executive management team, reporting directly to the chief executive officer.

Before joining Insightful, Mr. Fitzgerald was the executive vice president of Protegrity Inc., a leading provider of data security management solutions. At Protegity, he built a worldwide field organization, with sales growing nearly six-fold under his leadership. Mr. Fitzgerald also served in several leadership positions at Cartesis, a leading specialist in finance and performance management software, including president of North American Operations and executive vice president of Global Operations (responsible for managing global revenue, profit and customer satisfaction and all global client- and partner-facing staff), member of the executive committee, and vice president of Sales and Marketing. In addition, Mr. Fitzgerald spent eight years at Hyperion Software Inc., a global leader in business performance management software, in a variety of management positions in sales, professional services and product development.
